Round the corner spring came,
With blooming flowers everywhere,
I went on weaving the dreams of flying high in sky,
Fluttering my colourful wings,
To the rhythm of winds!
Came across the blossom meadow- a little boy and his Cat,
Fascinated little eyes staring at me,
Leaving me in thoughts -
While I moved to another flower flapping my wings,
And humming to the winds!
Jumping ferociously on me, Mighty Cat held his breath –
Crumpling my wings under his paws,
Digging deep and deeper into me,
For his pleasure, his playful act goes on -
While I struggled to free myself from him!
Fluttering their wings, my friends came across-
To where I lie all lost, they whispered in -
“Oh dear, she lost her wing!”
“Oh God, she is no longer the same! “
“Alas, she lost her self under his paws!”
Alone in this dirt, everyone left;
Searching for help, I saw the little boy -
Hoping him to pick me up from this dirt,
Those eyes which had looked at me with fond,
Alas! He too left me alone, without even glancing once!
I looked up at the sky, I had dreamt of flying!
I moaned, Thou to hear - “Am I not a creature of yours?
Or did you create me just as a piece of fantasy -
For the sake of other’s pleasure?
Can’t I too have my own dreams!"
